This year’s ALL POINTS WEST MUSIC & ARTS FESTIVAL will kick off with a pre-event concert July 30 at the Nokia Theatre in Times Square with performances from Method Man, Redman and Ghostface Killah. Tickets for pre-show celebration will be available via an initial exclusive pre-sale for those who’ve already purchased tickets to ALL POINTS WEST. In addition, attendees at the pre-show concert will also get their APW Festival Pack--including an APW Guide, complete with artist set times, a festival map, and all the information you need to have a great time on site--before arriving to Liberty State Park. Tickets for the pre-show celebration are $35 and will go on sale to the general public Saturday, June 13.
ALL POINTS WEST returns to Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey Friday, July 31, Saturday, August 1 and Sunday, August 2 with Beastie Boys, Tool and Coldplay set to headline the three-day, multi-stage music and arts festival. ALL POINTS WEST will also feature performances from Echo & The Bunnymen, My Bloody Valentine, Vampire Weekend, MGMT, MSTRKRFT, Gogol Bordello, The Black Keys, Fleet Foxes, Neko Case, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Arctic Monkeys and more than 65 artists appearing throughout the 80-acre historic location that has panoramic views of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and the Manhattan skyline. This year, the Queen of the Valley stage has been changed to a tent creating an environment that will showcase comedy, DJs, electronic acts and bands.
Meanwhile, APW has teamed this year with the Renegade Craft Fair--the biggest, best and the most well-known of all the DIY craft fairs--for an on site store featuring unique handmade items including housewares, jewelry, posters + prints, plush items, clothing, stationery and more from the best craftsters out there from more than 50 hand selected DIY crafters. In addition, more details are now available re getting to and from Liberty State Park for ALL POINTS WEST. Beyond the option of free light rail transport utilizing the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail (with your APW ticket), ferry service from Battery Park Pier is available for $15 in advance, $20 week of APW or $25 day of show(s). On-site parking is also for $30 per day.
Tickets for ALL POINTS WEST are on sale now at all Ticketmaster locations. Single day tickets are $89 and a limited number of three-day passes are available for $199. ALL POINTS WEST is produced by Goldenvoice/AEG Live and Liberty Event in association with the HighLine Ballroom. APW 2009 sponsors include: Anheuser Busch, MLB, State Farm, Playstation and Toyota.
