BAM is pleased to announce the seventh annual BAMboo! Halloween celebration, entitled BAM Before Time. Brooklyn’s finest cavemen and cavewomen, Tyrannosauruses and Pterodactyls, and ghouls and goblins of all stripes will surround BAM on Friday, October 31st from 4–7pm.
The event features an outdoor, dino-themed extravaganza including candy giveaways and other fun-filled activities for kids. BAMboo!, sponsored by Target, is free and open to the public and will be held in front of the BAM Peter Jay Sharp Building at 30 Lafayette Avenue between Ashland Place and Fulton Street in Fort Greene, Brooklyn.
The BAMboo! fun begins at 4pm with an array of prehistoric-themed events— from street performers and entertainers to a Jurassic Adventure moon bounce and a Dinosaur Rocks! fossil dig and exhibition, featuring real dino bones and eggs! There will be various Cretaceous carnival games, dino-themed arts and crafts and storytelling! Throughout the event, costumed BAM employees will distribute free trick-or-treat bags filled with tempting sweets and gifts. The festivities will culminate in a costume contest with prizes awarded for the most creative attire.
BAM President Karen Brooks Hopkins comments, “Our annual Halloween celebration is a lively neighborhood event, attracting over 3,000 children and adults from the community. BAM is thrilled to be working with Target to host this exciting event for children of all ages."
