ISRAEL HOROWITZ DISCUSSES LEBENSRAUM
Celebrated playwright ISRAEL HOROWITZ returns to New York with the revival of his play Lebensraum, a comic-drama which explores the roots of WWII and imagines the return of six million Jews to Germany . Horowitz and director JONATHAN REST will discuss the new production of this acclaimed play, which the New York Times called “powerful and touching,” followed by a reading of excerpts from the script and a Q & A session. Israel Horowitz has won two Obie awards, an Emmy, a Drama Desk Award and the Cannes Film Festival’s Prix Du Jury for his work; he is the founder of the New York Playwrights Lab and the co-founder of the Gloucester Stage Company. His plays have introduced such notable actors as Al Pacino, Richard Dreyfuss and Marsha Mason.
