Sam, one of our resident tortoises invites you and your 4- to 6- year-old for a shell-tingling good time exploring the wonderful world of turtles. Sam will be on hand to guide youngsters as they learn the difference between a turtle, a tortoise, and a terrapin. They'll figure out what a turtle shell is made of, and why a turtle couldn't and wouldn't want to be without one! After decorating their own take-home turtle, youngsters won't have any time to slow down as they explore the World of Reptiles to search for snappers and snake-necks and learn the answer to "whatt-whatta is a mata-mata?" Visits from a box turtle and a red-eared slider will complete this terrific turtle trek.
Children under 4 not admitted. Parent and child attend.
