Ed Hardy by Christian Audigier
|
Neighborhood: Meatpacking District Type of Place: Clothing Description: Ed Hardy might just be the new Andy Warhol. His tattoo-inspired prints with flaming skulls, roses, tigers and lotus flowers have found their way onto a line of "street-wear" courtesy of branding guru Christian Aubigier. The result: a fashion line like no other that is already drawing celebrities like Madonna and Britney Spears. Think sneakers with skulls and real chains ($62) to a fun purple rhinstone tank ($84). A sleeveless V-Neck ($77) emblazened with hearts and the words "true love" could serve as evening wear or with jeans. There are also trademark caps, starting at $55, which range from a grafitti look to neon colored charging tigers and dragons. And for Summer, what woman wouldn't want a pair of very sheik "limited edition" skull and cherry blossom sunglasses in cocoa ($265). It's designer wear that certainly delivers plenty of street cred! - Thomas Rafael
