Minton's Playhouse

  • Print
Neighborhood: Harlem
Type of Place: Jazz Clubs

Description:
What do Thelonius Monk,
Charlie Parker, Count Basie and
Billy Holiday have in common?

They all played at Minton's in
Harlem. Now, 30 years after closing its doors, Minton's is back as the Harlem renaissance continues. The club, known as the "birthplace of bebop", is bringing back Minton's legendary jam sessions as well and promises to be another great Harlem night spot!
