Bar Corvo

Bar Corvo

Cuisine: Italian

Summary: It looks as though the team at al di là in Park Slope has another hit on its hands. The restaurant is serving up fresh Italian fare and drinks just blocks from the Brooklyn Museum on Washington Avenue. Start with one of the classic cocktails like the Moscow Mule made with handmade vodka, ginger syrup and muddled blackberries, or an Aviation with Plymouth gin, lemon and Luxardo marachino. Pasta dishes range from semolina gnocchi with an oxtail ragu’ ($14) to Lasagne ($14) and Chitarra Neri with octopus confit and hot red peppers ($15). Mains include roast chicken with root vegetables ($17), a grilled heritage pork chop with creamy polenta ($18) and marinated veal breast with buttered turnips and salsa verde ($18). For dessert, there's chocolate bread pudding and creme fraiche panna cotta with blood orange caramel. Be sure to ge there early because the lines are already forming down the block. - Thomas Rafael
