This new seafood spot is bringing New England to the Bowery. The Down East Clam Shack on Delancey Street is offering everything that a seafood lover could want. There are fresh oysters from the local waters of New York, as well as Massachusetts and Virginia. And of course, there are clams. A fried clam roll with tartar sauce, with Cape Cod chips and a pickle will set you back ten bucks, while a classic Maine lobster roll on a buttered, split-top bun sells for 18 dollars. They are also offering a fish sandwich ($12) and New England style hot dogs with housemade relishes ($3). For dessert, try a Nantucket ice cream sandwich or a chocolate chip cookie. Down East Clam Shack is open 7 days a week from 12pm to 8pm.
