Classy meets rustic at Farmer and the Fish in Gramercy where diners are greeted with crystal chandeliers, marble tabletops and vines dangling from the ceiling. The restaurant, with its friendly staff, celebrates farm fresh produce and sustainable fish. Clams and oysters from the raw bar are pristine. Buffalo shrimp are accompanied by radishes and carrots that look like they were just plucked from the ground. Lobster rolls, tuna burgers and fish & chips are also available, along with one of the best clam chowders we've tasted. Specialty cocktails and craft beers are also offered. Farmer and the Fish is often packed on weekends. Reservations are stongly recommended, although they do have ample seating near the bar. See more
