Cititour Review:

Brooklyn's Chinatown in Sunset Park continues to expand with two new mega restaurants. The first to arrive was Pacificana, and now another popular spot is emerging. Golden Bay Seafood features a huge dining room, artfully decorated with very attentive and friendly service. Seafood dominates the menu with shark's fin soup, lobster and dungeness crab taking center stage. We enjoyed a huge bowl of sauteed prawns with ginger on a bed of crisp sugar snap peas ($16.95). While the Peking Duck was sold out, roast duck made for a delicious alternative. The duck slices were flavorful and meaty ($6.50/half). Roast pig ($6.50) was also moist with its skin heavily-salted and crunchy. A sizzling plate of veal chops stole the show ($13.95). It arrived smothered in sauteed onions and a delicious black pepper sauce, while a deep-fried t-bone steak got a bit of a tang from a taro sauce ($18.95). Golden Bay also offers a nice assortment of Hong Kong-style noodle dishes, and some exotic fare, like braised Australian abalone ($45), sea cucumber in a brown sauce, and crispy roast squab. So, if you are seeking a Chinese adventure, Golden Bay is a spot worth trying.
