PUBLIC THEATER TO REPRISE KIKI & HERB: SEEKING ASYLUM
September 17, 2020, 6:23.26 pm ET
Encore! Encore! In 2016, cabaret superstars Kiki and Herb (aka Justin Vivian Bond and Kenny Mellman) returned to Joe's Pub with a brand new show, “Kiki & Herb: Seeking Asylum” which almost sold out immediately, Now, the Public Theater will reprise this deliciously deranged show, by streaming it for free on demand from September 24 through November 5, to kick off their virtual 2020-2021 season.
A fixture of the downtown scene since the mid-1990s, Kiki & Herb have since played Carnegie Hall, received an Obie Award for their show “Kiki & Herb: Jesus Wept,” and earned a Tony Award nomination for their 2007 show “Kiki & Herb: Alive on Broadway.” In addition, their 2007 show “Kiki & Herb: Live at the Knitting Factory,” has been captured on DVD.
You can RSVP for free digital events through The Public’s website (www.publictheater.org)
