886 donates bento boxes to emergency workers

Taiwanese spot 886 run by Eric Sze and Andy Chuang in the East Village is donating bento boxes to emergency workers throughout New York City. So far, the restaurant has delivered more than 2,400 as of April 6th. The boxes are being sent to several hospitals including New York Presbyterian, NYU Langone, Lenox Hill Hospital, Mt. Sinai and Northwell Health. Those wishing to donate for the meals can go to the restaurant's venmo page @BentoEssential. The program is also being used to pay the restaurant's staff. Deliveries are also available through Seamless.
