As the clock strikes the New Year, step back in time at just-opened “steakeasy” Butcher & Banker, located in a former bank vault underneath the New Yorker Hotel.

Bask in the glamorous dining room inspired by the New Yorker Hotel’s Art Deco past or the Vault, turned into a dining room, complete with restored safety deposit boxes. From 5 -7pm 3-course prix-fixe is $54 per person; 5-course prix fixe from 8pm is $95 per person with Champagne toast at midnight. Chef Scott Campbell will serve Lobster Bisque with crème fraiche & peekytoe crab; Terrine of Hudson Valley Duck Foie Gras; and 5-Spice Duck Steak with sour cherry jus; Crème Fraichè Cheesecake and his signature Valrhona Hot Chocolate. All night in the bar, guests can also opt for 2 hours of unlimited Piper-Heidsieck Champagne for $55.
