a constant state was formed in october 2003, when [drummer] perry stumbled across an ad placed by [guitarist] chris on craig's list. perry and [bassist] joseph were already jamming together, and had been seeking a guitarist at the time.
after a few drinks, and a couple of rehearsals, a constant state was formed. the band name originated as part of a song title (a constant state of ???, you will need to speak to chris, joseph, or perry to find out the rest), but was changed to the band name, when perry found www.aconstantstate.com was still available as a domain name.
