Fresh off its debut in Carroll Gardens, 6 Restaurant (481 Carroll St, Brooklyn) is ushering in warmer weather with a playful new Surf & Turf dish, available exclusively on the bar menu this May. Priced at $36, this duo of buckwheat milk buns offers a bite-sized preview of summer: one bun features rich wagyu steak with a creamy cheese custard, a nod to owner Kirk Love’s Philly roots, while the second layers lobster with green herb crème and decadent brown butter. It’s an indulgent take on classic flavors, designed for casual snacking with a drink in hand.

6 Restaurant is ta New-American driven spot by Love, alongside Executive Chef Nico Bouter (Flora Bar, Eleven Madison Park) and Beverage Director Eric Torres (Agern, Other Half, Claro). Together, the team has created a dining destination that emphasizes community, gratitude, and personal connection. The intimate space is anchored by a six-seat tasting table—hence the name—designed to foster conversation and shared experiences, with an eight-course tasting menu ($165) and à la carte seating for walk-ins and locals alike.
