The winners have been announced for the75th Annual Tony Awards, which took place at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday, June 12. The show was hosted by Oscar winner Ariana DeBose.
On the musical side, the big winners were “A Strange Loop,” which won Best Musical and Best Book of a Musical for its creator Michael R. Jackson, “Company” which was named Best Revival of a Musical, and also earned awards for actors Patti LuPone and Matt Doyle, director Marianne Elliott and set designer Bunny Christie. In addition, “Six,” won awards for Best Score, Best Costume and Best Lighting Design, “MJ” earned awards for Myles Frost as Best Actor in a Musical, Christopher Wheeldon for Best Choreography and Natasha Katz for Best Lighting Design. Finally, Joaquina Kalukango won Best Actress for “Paradise Square.”

On the play side “The Lehman Trilogy” won Best Play, Best Director for Sam Mendes, Best Actor for Simon Russell Beale, and Best Set Design and Best Lighting Design In addition “Take Me Out” won Best Revival of Play and Best Featured Actor nominations for Jesse Tyler Ferguson. Deirdre O’Connell was named Best Actress for “Dana H.” and Phylicia Rashad won Best Featured Actress for “Skeleton Crew.”
