A burger escape from lockdown at South Brooklyn Foundry

Many neighborhood restaurants, especially outside Manhattan, remain open for takeout during the pandemic, toughing it out as others choose to temporarily shut down. Businesses like South Brooklyn Foundry may be on a firmer financial footing when the city finally does decide to reopen. The restaurant's menu is heavy on comfort foods with an assortment of thick burgers, including a beet & black bean version, chicken wings, fried chicken and a "Duck Club." Beer and wine is also sold. The kitchen takes orders until 9:30 pm.
