A star-studded online revival of “Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens” is set to stream on Tuesday, December 1 in honor of World AIDS day. The virtual production will benefit Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The stream also will premiere at 5 pm and 8 pm on Broadway on Demand and will be available through Saturday, December 5.
Written by Bill Russell and Janet Hood, “Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens” is a celebration of the lives lost to AIDS told in free-verse monologues with a blues, jazz and rock score.
The stream is set to include performances from Brooks Ashmanskas, Laura Bell Bundy, Paul Castree, Richard Chamberlain, Charity Angél Dawson, Robin de Jesús, Fran Drescher, J.
