AN AUTHENTIC MEAL AWAITS AT BROOKLYN’S YEMEN HOUSE

Yemen House Restaurant brings a unique dining experience to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, with a true Yemeni experience.

Diners can choose to sit in one of several colorful ornate booths filled with plush pillows and oriental rugs. Shoes are left at the door, while diners site on the floor sharing various dips and other Yemeni delicacies.

The meal begins with a salad for sharing and marag, a soup made with lamb broth, minced onions and Yemeni spices. There is hummus, foul (mashed fava beans) and kibdah (sautéed lamb with tomatoes and onions) that arrive with an oversized, bubbly pita fresh from the clay oven.
