ANDRE HOLLAND STARS IN RICHARD II ON RADIO

The Public Theatre will present a four-part radio play of William Shakespeare’s “Richard II” to be broadcast nightly from Monday, July 13 through Thursday, July 16 at 8:00 p.m. It will be available on WNYC 93.9 FM and AM 820 to listeners in New York tri-state area, and at WNYC.org. WNYC will also make the series available as a podcast for on-demand listening.

The play, which will be directed by Saheem Ali, stars Andre Holland (“Moonlight) in the title role of Richard, who banishes his cousin Henry Bolingbroke and deprives him of his inheritance and unwittingly creates an enemy who will ultimately force him from the throne.

The supporting also includes Sean Carvajal, Sanjit de Silva, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Dakin Matthews, Estelle Parsons, Phylicia Rashad. Thom Sesma and John Douglas Thompson.
