Located within walking distance to New York City’s Theater District, Amarone Scarlatto is bringing hearty Italian fare and fine Italian wines to Hell’s Kitchen. The welcoming space with exposed brick, white linen tablecloths and dramatic red wallpaper is lined with images of iconic Italian celebrities. There is also outdoor seating for those wishing to dine al fresco.

The menu starts with Italian favorites such as rice balls (arancini) stuffed with mozzarella and green peas, jumbo shrimps served on a bed of cannellini beans, sautéed Italian sausage with broccoli rabe and garlic & oil, and crispy calamari with hot red pepper tomato dipping sauce.

Several salads also make an appearance including a traditional Caesar, alongside Polenta el Tratufo made with soft polenta, sausage, gorgonzola and truffle oil. A pear salad with baby arugila, bacon, walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette also makes an appearance.

A lengthy list of pastas can be found like Pumpkin Ravioli served with a butter-sage sauce and Parmesan cheese; Cacio e Pepe with Grana Padano & Pecorino Romano; Fettuccine ai Funghi with wild mushrooms and white truffle oil; and Homemade Lasagna.

The Flavors of Italy can also be found in entrees ranging from baked salmon with a caramelized onion crust to rosemary grilled chicken, and grilled branzino filet with broccoli rabe, roasted potatoes and lemon caper berry sauce. Desserts bring classics like tiramisu and panna cotta.

Amarone Scarlatto is located at 686 9th Ave, New York, NY (212) 245-6060
