Just in time for the holidays, the Monarch (148 Metropolitan Ave) in Williamsburg is offering weekend brunch from 10am to 4:30pm. The menu is spotlighting food from Japan, Korea, China, Taiwan and Thailand.  Think – Kimchi Waffles, Ube Ricotta Pancakes, and a Breakfast Bahn Mi.  Cocktails include a boozy bubble tea called Willow’s Wake Up Call with earl grey-infused white rum, boba, honey, lemon, and coconut milk.

The Oval at La Devozione inside Chelsea Market has received a prestigious award. Italian food guide Gambero Rosso has awarded the restaurant “three forks” and naming it the 20th Best Italian Retsaurant Outside of Italy out of fifty.  One dish worth checking out is the Sogno Rosa, Eliche Giganti, a spiral pasta shape in a beetroot sauce with goat cheese mousse and chopped almonds, served in a glass that is swirled tableside.

Learn the art of making French specialties, including a classic croissant, pies and  crème brûlée. Two-Michelin-starred Jugsik is offering a luxurious 11-course tasting menu including Languoustine, cooked over binchotan charcoal topped with ossetra caviar; and White Truffle Kongguksu, a rustic Korean noodle with fermented tomato and crunchy buckwheat, layered with Alba white truffle. $450 pp.

Newly Opened Casa TuLuM, a stylish new Mexican spot at the South Street Seaport is throwing a party with exclusive 3-course meal with seatings at 9:30pm and 10pm. There will be a complimentary glass of champagne and party favors to ring in the New Year.  $200 pp.

The Standard Grill is hosting a Burlesque Ball Drop to ring in 2023.   Savor a curated and delectable dining journey designed by Chef Paul Hargove, while being dazzled all evening by breathtaking burlesque performances. $145 pp. Includes a complimentary glass of Moët.

GG Tokyo, which emulates Tokyo’s lively Gai District, is celebrating the New Year with Japanese-inspired dishes, hors d'oeuvres for the first hour, and open bar from 9pm to 12am. There will also be a Tarlant champagne toast.  $175 pp

Modern speakeasy-inspired omakase concept Sushi by Boū is offering a Bou-gie 17-course seating with a special New Year’s Eve party package at its Nomad, Chelsea and Flatiron locations ($150pp), and at its Times Square location (185pp) that includes 2023 Glasses, Party Hats, Noise Makers, Beads, and a champagne toast at midnight.
