On Tuesday, May 13th, West Village favorite Bandits (44 Bedford Street) is officially relaunching as Bandits Burger + Dive, a reimagined throwback-burger-joint-meets-cheeky-cocktail-bar from the team at The Garret Group. Since its opening in May 2021, Bandits has been a go-to for drinks and good vibes, but this next chapter places the spotlight firmly on the food, with a bold, no-filler menu crafted by Chef Rob Sieber.
At the heart of the new lineup are two burgers: the Tavern Burger, an 8 oz. dry-aged Wagyu patty with B-1 sauce and white cheddar, and a brisket blend Double Smash Burger with special sauce and pickles. Other highlights include the Filet O’Bedford fish sandwich with housemade smoked roe tartar, a lemon pepper chicken sandwich piled high with slaw, and possibly the best onion rings in town. Handhelds like the veggie-packed Veggie Delight and snacks like French onion dip with ruffle chips round out the menu, complemented by crinkle-cut fries and an expanded cocktail list.
One of the best deals in the city might just be Bandits’ Martini Monday Happy Meal: a $25 combo that gets you a smashburger, crinkle fries, and a martini—available all night on Mondays. For those keeping late hours, the kitchen will be open until midnight Sunday through Thursday, and until 2 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, making it a prime destination for post-shift bites and late-night hangs.
With refreshed interiors, playful fast-food nostalgia, and a focus on full-service dining, Bandits Burger + Dive is set to become a new neighborhood classic. Whether you’re stopping by for a casual drink or settling in for a burger feast, the Garret Group’s signature mix of flavor, fun, and hospitality ensures it’s a spot worth returning to again and again.
