Bathhouse in Williamsburg has re-opened its restaurant, now called Bathhouse Kitchen: a dining concept that relaunched this summer (after being closed due to COVID). With a new Executive Chef in the kitchen - Anthony Sousa (EMP, Chez Ma Tante, etc.) - the concept has opened outdoor dining for dinner 5 days a week, as well as weekend brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
The concept offers a hyper-seasonal and local menu from Chef Sousa that's free of grains and refined sugars and sample dishes like Fluke Crudo featuring lemon cucumber, calabrian chili and coriander berry; NY Strip with homemade red onion relish and Summer Melon with Szechuan peppercorn, grana padano, and angostura bitters.
Bathhouse - which opened in November 2019 - offers a distinct departure from traditional wellness models centered on rest and relaxation to combine the vibrant, social elements of bathhouses from around the world alongside an array of treatments for the modern athlete and fitness enthusiast. Housed in a renovated 1930s soda factory in central Williamsburg, the space acts as a nexus for both fitness and recovery from a high-performance lifestyle in a fun, communal environment.
