Billy Porter and Marisha Wallace to Join Broadway’s Cabaret

Tony Award winner Billy Porter and Olivier Award nominee Marisha Wallace will star as ‘Emcee' and ‘Sally Bowles' in the Tony Award-winning production of “Cabaret,” now at the Kit Kat Club at the August Wilson Theatre (245 West 52nd Street), beginning performances on Tuesday, July 22 and remaining for the production's final 13 weeks through Sunday, October 19.
Porter and Wallace, who will replace departing stars Orville Peck and Eva Nozableda, recently played these roles in the show’s London production.
The production is directed by Rebecca Frecknall and features music and lyrics by John Kander and Fred Ebb. The cast also features Calvin Leon Smith as Clifford Bradshaw, Steven Skybell as Herr Schultz, Ellen Harvey as Fraulein Schneider, Henry Gottfried as Ernst Ludwig, and Michelle Aravena as Fritzie/Kost.
Porter is best known for his stage work in “Kinky Boots,” “Grease,” and “Miss Saigon.” He will star as Albin in the upcoming City Center Encores! production of “La Cage Aux Folles.” He is also an Emmy Award winner for his work as Pray Tell in the TV series “Pose.” Wallace’s stage credits include “Guys & Dolls” and “Dreamgirls.”
