Lovely blue lanterns lead the way into Hola La Pho, a new Vietnamese spot in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The signature dish, Ho La Pho, is an ox tail noodle soup. We counted more than 20 different varieties.

The restaurant also offers an interesting collection of Goi Cuon or Summer Rolls. Unlike traditional summer rolls filled with steamed shrimp and noodles, here you can have them stuffed with grilled shrimp, beef, pork or chicken, or a combination of avocado & shrimp.

Other options include pan-fried noodles, hot and sour Cahn soup, Bo beef dishes served rice, and specials like gently fried soft shell crab with scallion and onions. The crab can also be found in a selection of Bahn Mi sandwiches. We tried the grilled beef Bahn Mi which was quite good.

Hola La Pho is located at 8121 5th Ave, Brooklyn, NY. (646) 897-4777
