Celebrating the New Year in Slovenian style at Pekarna

Pekarna New York, a new Slovenian-American restaurant and cocktail bar on the Upper West Side, is now offering outdoor dining. The space will be open on New Year’s Eve, along with takeout and delivery, offering dishes like Truffle Matzo Ball Soup with roasted chicken and truffle matzo balls; Salmon with crispy skin; and a Chicken Schnitzel Burger with coleslaw, sunny side up egg on a toasted bun. Desserts include Bread Pudding with vanilla ice cream, rum infused crème caramel sauce, and seasonal berries.

Beverages include absinthe by the traditional drip method, and cocktails like the Empress French made with Empress 1908 Purple Gin and GH Mumm Grand Cordon Brut Champagne. The entire beverage menu is available to go, and patrons receive a five percent discount when they order six bottles or more. Reservations and delivery orders can be placed through whire website.
