13 new fall cocktails at Grand Army in Boerum Hill are paying homage to some the world’s most famous cats, including several pop culture sensations. The drinks created by Robby Dow (beverage director) and Ally Marrone (head bartender) include autumnal takes on spritzes, pisco punches, old fashioneds, martinis, negronis and even a fall-inspired colada. The Astrocat (Felicette, the first cat in space), is made with blended scotch, passionfruit, guava, lemon, pineapple, and absinthe.
Meredith Grey (Taylor Swift’s cat) blends vodka, lemon, grapefruit, pink peppercorn, apricot, and soda.
Lil’ Bub, Delilah Mercury (Freddie Mercury’s beloved cat), is a mix of blanco tequila, suze, yuzu kosho, bird’s eye chili, and lime.
Mr. Bigglesworth (Austin Powers star) is a frozen pumpkin spice latte with aged cachaca and bajan rum
And Towser the Mouser (28,899 mice) is made with Irish whiskey, speyside single malt, amontillado, vermouth, walnut, and drambuie
Grand Army is celebrating the new menu by commissioning several local artists to create custom cat artwork for the bar. A Garfield-adorned toilet seat by @garfieldfrommemory has also been installed.
