Cole Escola, Audra Mcdonald, Bebe Neuwirth Join Broadway Barks

Tony Award winners Danny Burstein, Victoria Clark, Cole Escola, Audra McDonald, Bebe Neuwirth and Kara Young have joined up the lineup of celebrities who will participate in Broadway Barks, the annual star-studded dog and cat adoption event, which will return to Shubert Alley on Saturday, July 12. The event, which will be hosted this year by co-founder Bernadette Peters and Tony Award winner Beth Leavel, is produced by Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.
The event begins at 3pm with a “meet and greet” of all the adoptable pets, which come from over two dozen organizations. Then, from 5pm-6:30pm, the potential adoptees make their Broadway debut on stage alongside some of Broadway’s favorite stars.
Additional celebrity participants include Ali Louis Bourzgui, Preston Truman Boyd, Glenn Davis, Max von Essen, Lana Gordon Philip Huber (BOOP! The Musical), LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Jon Michael Hill, Harry Lennix, Brad Oscar, Zoë Roberts, Jordan Tyson, Samantha Williams, Azalea Wolfe, Gianna Yanelli, Natalie Venetia Belcon, Kecia Lewis, Michele Pawk, Alena Arenas, Erich Bergen, Jeb Brown, Gavin Lee, Orville Peck, Jasmine Amy Rogers, an d Jessica Vosk.
The event is free and open to the public. Proceeds from the event benefit the participating shelters and rescue groups. For more information, visit broadwaybarks.org
