The 2025 Tribeca Festival returns to New York City from June 4–15 with one of its most ambitious lineups to date—spanning film, music, immersive storytelling, and powerful cultural narratives. This year’s festival, presented by OKX, will feature 94 world premieres and 118 feature films, including a deeply personal documentary about a beloved NYC bistro, visual albums from major artists, and appearances by some of the biggest names in entertainment.

One of the standout premieres is Raoul’s, A New York Story, a documentary celebrating the 50-year legacy of Raoul’s, the French bistro that helped define SoHo. Directed by Greg Olliver and Karim Raoul, the film weaves together the restaurant’s history with insights from celebrated chefs like Thomas Keller, Daniel Boulud, and Jean-Georges Vongerichten. It’s a must-watch for anyone who loves food, family, and the fabric of old New York.

Opening night kicks off with Billy Joel: And So It Goes, an HBO documentary that charts the music icon’s life and career with rare footage and interviews. The festival wraps with YANUNI, a Leonardo DiCaprio-produced documentary about Indigenous environmental activist Juma Xipaia’s fight to defend her land in the Brazilian Amazon.

Music and film intersect in bold new ways at Tribeca this year. Victory, a 25-minute visual album by Slick Rick featuring Idris Elba and Nas, gets its international premiere. Turnstile's Never Enough delivers a 50-minute audio-visual experience directed by the band’s own Brendan Yates and Pat McCrory. Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus offers her "pop opera" Something Beautiful, a fantasy-infused visual album screening at the Beacon Theatre.

Other anticipated projects include Metallica Saved My Life, Move Ya Body: The Birth of House from Elegance Bratton, and Matter of Time featuring Eddie Vedder. Narrative highlights range from The Best You Can with Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, to Deep Cover, a high-energy action comedy with Bryce Dallas Howard and Orlando Bloom, and Everything’s Going to Be Great, a dramedy with Bryan Cranston and Allison Janney.

This year also brings a powerhouse jury to the festival. More than 30 industry figures—including Jennifer Beals, Matthew Broderick, Ilana Glazer, Mira Sorvino, and Kyle MacLachlan—will judge films across 15 competition categories, from narrative and documentary to games and audio storytelling. The prestigious Nora Ephron Award will once again honor a female filmmaker whose voice embodies Ephron’s bold, heartfelt storytelling.

“As always, Tribeca champions bold creativity and fearless storytelling,” said Nancy Lefkowitz, EVP at Tribeca Enterprises. “This year’s jury brings incredible depth across genres, helping us shine a light on tomorrow’s most exciting storytellers.”

Tribeca was founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff to revitalize Lower Manhattan post-9/11. Now in its 24th year, the festival continues to shape the cultural pulse of New York. Tickets, passes, and memberships are available at TribecaFilm.com.
