Doyle Auction House is pleased to announce the inaugural auction of Stage & Screen on Wednesday, April 28, with in-person viewings from April 23-26. This landmark auction showcases over 300 lots of original set designs and stage props, costumes and red carpet gowns, signed photographs and memorabilia from the vast history of the performing arts: theater, Hollywood, opera and dance.

Highlights of the auction include selections from the Celest Holm Collection, including her Golden Globe Award for the film “Gentleman’s Agreement”; her Sarah Siddons Society Award, a theater honor based on the fictional award in the film “All About Eve,” and memorabilia from her Broadway shows, including “Oklahoma!”, “Bloomer Girl” and “The King and I”

In addition, there will be a selection of items from The Costume Institute Collection and special celebrity memorabilia curated by the actress Christine Baranski, including a Wolverine jacket from Hugh Jackman’s closet; the monkey music box from “The Phantom of the Opera”; boots, jeans and t-shirt from Bruce Springsteen; a banjo signed by Steve Martin; Bob Mackie dresses from Carol Burnett; a dress from Dolly Parton and much more.

Recognizing the importance of the performing arts to the fabric of New York, and the terrible toll that the pandemic is taking on the entertainment community, Doyle will proudly donate 10% of the profit from this auction to The Actors Fund.
