Ci Siamo, which translates into “here we are,” has arrived at Manhattan West, a new destination across from Hudson Yards. The restaurant by Danny Meyer’s Union Square Hospitality Group is focusing on simple Italian cooking by Chef Hillary Sterling using live-fire and seasonal ingredients.
The menu begins with Cast Iron Foccacia with tomato conserva, Pizza Bianco and Gnocco Fritto. There are salads, including Delicata Squash with walnuts, chili and honey, and Marinated Charred Peppers with feta and oregano. Pastas bring Spaghetti Alla Chittara with lobster and scallop, and Tagliolini with tomato and buffalo butter. Larger plates include Wood-Fired Whole Trout with pine nuts and raisins, Pork Milanese, and Roasted Whole Chicken with schmaltz and parsley. For dessert, there’s Chocolate Bundino, Mascarpone Cheesecake and Bombolini.
