Maialino (vicino), Danny Meyer’s tribute to the Roman trattoria, has resurfaced in Nomad at The Rebury New York. Executive Chef Joseph Downey-Zayas, formerly of American Cut and Union Square Café, is leading the kitchen.

Menu Highlights include Spaghettini alle Vongole with clams in a white wine & garlic sauce; Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe with pecorino & black pepper; and Malfatti al Maialino with braised suckling pig, Grana Padano & arugula. Larger plates bring swordfish with roasted tomato and pine nuts; slow-roasted lamb with fennel and rosemary; and chicken with black pepper and pickled chili. At the adjacent wine bar, assorted salumi and small plates are offered, including bite-sized bacon panino and anchovy & pepper crostini. Cocktails include the Godfather (Chivas Regal 13-yr Sherry Finish, Amaretto, and Fred Jerbis Bitters) along with an interesting selection of Amari and Vermouth.
