Frenchette, Oysters and Chipotatos
Oysters and Chipotatos

There is something fabulous about Frenchette in Tribeca where even during a pandemic reservations are required. Chefs Riad Nasr and Lee Hanson, formerly of Keith McNally's Balthazar and Minetta Tavern, have created a welcoming atmosphere with a courteous staff.  It's the perfect spot to sit back with some friends and share some cocktails with oysters and chipotatos (sausages) on a sun-drenched day.

With indoor dining limited, outdoors is still a good option while the weather permits. Tables are set up curbside and socially-distanced. All of the food is fantastic, from the Terrine de Pintade made with guinea hen and served with toasted French baguette, mustard and cornichons. Roasted corn comes slathered with butter and cheese, duck frites gets crispy fries or salad, while suckling pig arrives with crispy crackling. There's also rotisserie lobster served in a spicy curry sauce. For dessert, Paris Brest a la Pistache is a perfect finish. It resembles a cream puff filled with pistachio cream.
