Two NYC icons—Dominique Ansel Bakery and Kith Treats—have joined forces for a sweet-and-salty celebration: The Metropolitan Cronut®, a limited-edition flavor created for the Cronut®’s 12th birthday and Kith’s 10th anniversary.
Revealed ahead of its release, The Metropolitan is inspired by New York City’s legendary late-night eats, combining Cookies & Cream Ganache with a hit of Salted Potato Chip Ganache. It’s a nod to the city that never sleeps, captured in Ansel’s signature croissant-doughnut hybrid.
The special-edition Cronut® will be available for just one weekend, from Friday, May 16 through Sunday, May 18, exclusively at Dominique Ansel Bakery in SoHo NYC, starting at 8AM daily until sold out.
The collab doesn’t stop there. To coincide with the reopening of Kith Treats’ SoHo flagship, a limited-edition ice cream special—also called The Metropolitan—will be served at all U.S. Kith Treats locations. This frozen spin infuses the Cronut® flavor profile into a swirl, layered with complementary ingredients from Kith’s menu.
Both Ansel and Kith Founder & CEO Ronnie Fieg have long been inspired by Kith's mantra “New York to the World,” making this collaboration a fitting tribute to their shared roots in NYC creativity.
