Döner Haus' Giant German Kebabs take Astoria by Storm

We finally made it out to Döner Haus in Astoria—and let’s just say, come hungry. Known for its oversized authentic German-style döner kebabs packed with slow-roasted beef and chicken (yes, you can now get both in one), Döner Haus is putting its own NYC spin on Europe’s favorite street food. The sandwich is stacked high with crisp veggies, homemade sauces, and warm toasted bread that holds it all together—barely.
Since we first covered their opening two years ago, the brand has been growing fast. After launching its Astoria location in 2024, Döner Haus is now expanding to Bayside in May (4004 Bell Blvd.) and Hell’s Kitchen this summer (677 9th Ave.).
