Edith’s got its start as a pop-up in Brooklyn showcasing Jewish breads, pastries and food items. At the time, it was residing inside Paulie Gee’s Slice Shop. The restaurant later branched out to Edith’s Counter (495 Lorimer St) in Greenpoint. Now, owner Elyssa Heller, is expanding again with a new market and eatery on Leonard Street in Williamsburg. The all-day menu features Jewish staples including dozens of house-smoked meats and fish along with dishes like Malawach with zhug (a Yemeni hot sauce), grated tomato and bay leaf oil, Chicken Consomme with matzo ball, celery, carrot and fennel fronds, and Schnitzel with chicken, schmaltzy cornbread, relish and harissa honey. Deli Boards are also offered with various meats and cheeses. There’s also a bakery room and espresso bar.

Edith’s Eatery and Grocery is located at 312 Leonard St, Brooklyn, NY 11211
