Esme, known for its snacks and classic French bistro fare, is relaunching in Greenpoint with new food and beverage menus, revamped dining room and outdoor seating in its lush garden. Longtime friends and New Yorkers Brandon Chamberlain, Matthew Ricke and Nathan Ricke are the creative forces behind Esme and also operate Williamsburg cocktail bar, The Exley.
Start with afternoon snacks fro Chef Adam Volk like rotating marketplace oysters, tinned seafood, and house-made bread & butter. Dinner options include Grilled Summer Squash with smoked ricotta and toast; Borscht Salad with pickled beets, dill and roasted potatoes; Roasted Chicken with caramelized fennel and fries; and Spring Pea Pot Pie with lemon garlic cream. Weekend brunch brings oversized cinnamon rolls, buttermilk pancakes with maple syrup; Eggs Benedict with smoked ham, cinnamon French toast and more.
Creative cocktails include the Papasito with tequila, lime, campari and fresh grapefruit as well as the Magic Kingdom with choice of spirit, lemon and Esme’s house-made Five Spice Ginger beer. Natural and old world wines are also available along with craft beers from Transmitter brewing and Greenpoint Beer & Ale Co.
Esme is also a partner with Rethink Food, the nonprofit committed to reducing food insecurity with other New York restaurants like Eleven Madison Park, Fieldtrip, Gertie, among others.
Esme is located at 999 Manhattan Ave, Brooklyn. Reservations via Resy.
