Patti Ann’s on Vanderbilt Street in Prospect Heights is offering some exciting brunch options. While the menu is still a work in progress, there are several offerings worth noting. There is a wonderful assortment of pastries. Think classic blueberry scones topped with blueberry glaze, raspberry crullers that are light and airy topped with fresh berries, and delicious banana bread chock full of walnuts.
One of the signature items is the Bread Pudding Waffle (top). It is savory and sweet topped with whipped maple, candied pecans and rhubarb jam. Other offerings include Duck Confit Quiche, and Egg Sandwich with airy scrambled eggs, cheese sauce and thick slaps of glazed country ham on a brioche bun. Breakfast and brunch at Patti Ann’s runs from 8am to 2pm.

Sweetbriar is a comfort food restaurant focused on live-fire cooking from Executive Chef Bryce Shuman located at the Park South Hotel. Sweetbriar's brunch menu features Fresh Bakery Baskets (Croissant, Pain au Chocolat, Pain au Raisin, Blueberry Muffin); Omelette with watercress, egg, and gruyere; Grilled Hanger Steak with dry aged beef jus, 2 eggs any style, and mixed green salad; Sourdough Waffle – baked in the fire – with maple-bourbon drizzle and creme chantilly. On the beverage front – think classics, like a French 75, Espresso Martini, Bloody Peach Bellini, Bloody Mary/Maria, and more. Live music brunch is available every Sunday from 11AM to 3PM.

Jack & Charlie's no.118 in the West Village from Executive Chef/Partner Ed Cotton is offering sweet or savory (or both) options. Look for things like the Smoked Salmon & Everything Spiced Tartlette with creme fraiche, red onions, and capers; Super Green Omelette with baby spinach, avocado, zucchini, smoked gouda, and crimini mushrooms; Vanilla Bean Buttermilk Waffle with mixed berries, whipped lemon curd, and warm maple syrup; Maine Lobster Roll with lemon-herb tartar sauce, celery, and Old Bay chips. Menu staples include the Corned Beef Hash Benedict, Turkey Club, Chocolate Babka French Toast, and "Coffee" and Donuts. Brunch is available on Saturdays and Sundays from 11AM to 3PM
