Farzi Brings Modern Indian Magic to Tribeca

Renderings: Farzi
A new chapter in modern Indian cuisine is set to unfold in Tribeca with the arrival of Farzi, opening May 15 at 78 Leonard Street. The brainchild of Zorawar Kalra—dubbed “The Prince of Indian Cuisine”—Farzi reimagines traditional Indian flavors through a global lens, blending bold regional ingredients with avant-garde technique.
At the helm is Chef Gaurav Chawla, whose refined takes on street-style snacks and comfort dishes—like Dal Chawal Arancini and Avocado & Raw Mango Chaat—offer both nostalgia and surprise. With its New York debut, Farzi will introduce exclusive dishes crafted just for the city, pairing modern plating with the warmth of homegrown spice.
Sleek renderings suggest a chic yet grounded interior, reflecting the brand’s ethos: high-concept, deeply rooted, and unapologetically flavorful.
