El Churro has popped up in the East Village making churro in the window of this sun-drenched space. The churros come in two sizes (3 and 5 piece) with several types of chocolate dipping sauce including milk, dark and vegan. Soft serve ice cream is also available. Rabbit is a new raw vegan spot in the East Village by James Beard nominated Chef Davo Derossi. The menu includes things like watermelon-strawberry gazpacho, Al Pastor with pineapple and walnuts, and hummus with cherry, harissa and sumac. The tasting menu costs $75. 122 East 7 St, NYC

Dollar Hits is an LA-based Filipino BBQ restaurant chain that now has a location in Woodside, Queens. Look for a variety of skewers ranging from beef liver and pork skin to pork ears, chicken butt and various body parts. Other offerings include Sisig with rice. 39-04 64th St, Queens (917) 631-1427

C as in Charlie is a Korean restaurant in NoHo serving up small plates that also have some Southern flare.  Think Baby Back Ribs with harissa and plum coulis; Seoul’sbury Steak with galbi jus and gruyere grits; Oxbone Cream Pasta with bacon and scallion; and Peach Salad with arugula and pecans. 5 Bleecker St, NYC (929) 405-2205

Witching Hour is a new cocktail bar in Bushwick with funky tulip-shaped lamps and others with fringes, orange seats and lime green banquette seating. The bar boasts delicious drinks with names like Shade of Jade and “delicious company.” Open 5pm-late.  1312 Decatur St, Brooklyn

Bake Culture, a Taiwan based chain, has opened a location on St Marks between Second and Third Avenue in the East Village.  The shop is known for specialties like seashell bread, egg tarts and cream cakes with fresh fruit.  22 St Marks Pl, NYC (646) 861-1576

Siam Thai in Flushing is offering classics like chicken satay, pad thai with lobster and pineapple fried rice. Little Banchan Shop in Long Island City is offering freshly prepared foods to-go. They include Korean specialties like bibimbap, spicy pork gimbap, kimchi fried rice, Korean chicken wings and Korean meatballs. Options vary day to day. 5-28 49th Ave, Long Island City, Queens (718) 806-1636

Jalao, a Dominican spot, has arrived in Washington Heights at the Radio Hotel with the help of Chef Richard Sandoval. The menu features tradition fare like mofungo, crispy pork chicharron, and fried fish with tostones. Lively tropical drinks are also served. 2420 Amsterdam Ave, NYC (929) 688-4684
