Angelina, a French tea room and cafe, has opened near Bryant Park. While located in a modern high-rise building, the space evokes the old world charm of Paris. This is the first U.S. location of Angelia and visitors can expect an assortment of French pastries and fresh croissants. Classics include the Antoinette with dark chocolate cream and praline crunch, and cakes to share like the Mont-Blanc, a signature dessert dating back to the beginning of the 20th century made with crispy meringue under a dome of light whipped cream and covered with chestnut vermicelli meant to resemble a woman's hairstyle at the time. Boxed chocolates are also offered.
