In celebration of its 35th anniversary, Golden Krust, the iconic Jamaican fast-casual restaurant group, is launching its 35 Deeds initiative, a year-long campaign focused on giving back to communities across North America. This Thanksgiving, the program kicks off with the distribution of thousands of free meals in key locations, including New York.

Highlights include:

- 700 meals at Golden Krust’s Mt. Vernon, NY location
- 400 meals in White Plains, NY, including donations to Christ Temple Church
- 100 meals to the Bruckner shelter in the Bronx through a partnership with Children’s Rescue Fund

“As we celebrate 35 years, we honor the communities that made our journey possible,” said CEO Jaqueline Hawthorne-Robinson. “Through every meal shared, we aim to bring a taste of home and a hand of support.”

Founded in 1989 by Lowell F. Hawthorne and his siblings, Golden Krust has grown from its Bronx beginnings to over 110 locations. The 35 Deeds initiative reflects the brand’s mission to foster community through food, with more charitable acts planned through Fall 2025.
