Today should have been the kickoff of the spring and summer season for Grand Banks, the schooner on the Hudson where you can grab a drink and a lobster roll (or two) while taking in shore breezes. Instead, owners Miles and Alex Pincus, are sharing their reggae playlist and a recipe for their "rum and rum" drink called the Permanent Vacation as we all await the great reopening (hopefully sooner rather than later):

Combine the following in a shaker tin:

½ oz. Coconut milk

½ oz. Coconut cream

½ oz. Orange juice

2 oz. Pineapple juice

½ oz. Tepache (optional)

1 oz. White Rum

½ oz. Aged Rum

Add a few large ice cubes and shake until slightly chilled.
Strain into a beer glass, then add crushed ice until the glass is nearly full.

Top with a float of ¼ oz. blue Curacao and garnish with an orange half-moon,
a maraschino cherry, and a light dusting of grated nutmeg.

The message to supporters ends with an appeal to sign a letter to Congress in support of Independent Restaurants with a plea for two urgent changes to the Paycheck Protection Program aimed at helping small businesses and independent restaurants survive.
