Summer in the Hamptons is back in full swing—and so is the food scene. From reimagined icons to brand-new hotspots, this season brings no shortage of places to sip, snack, and settle in by the sea. Whether you're chasing sunset views in Montauk or looking for your next big night out in East Hampton, here’s where to eat, drink, and unwind this summer.
In Montauk, a legend returns. Ruschmeyer’s, once a beloved summer camp-turned-hotel, is relaunching under new ownership with a thoughtful redesign. The 1952-era retreat is back with breezy rooms, curated experiences, and a coastal restaurant helmed by Chef Jordan Heissenberger. Expect Montauk fluke tartare, wood-fired oysters, and pizza pop-ups to keep things lively well after sunset. For opening weekend, chef Justin Smillie is popping up with his SlowFires pizza garden, and the GOSPËL collective is throwing a dinner party worth dressing up for.

Also in Montauk, Ocean Club at the Montauk Yacht Club is officially open for the season, serving wood-fired fare and fresh seafood bites in a luxe marina setting. There's also Reggae Thursdays with rum cocktails for golden hour. Sea Salt at Solé East brings a Mediterranean vibe with clean, market-driven plates perfect for outdoor dining. And for something more casual but no less satisfying, Mary Lou's replaces N'AMO offering a touch of coastal glam on the East End.

East Hampton is buzzing too. Rubirosa fans, rejoice: the famed NYC pizza joint has launched Camp Rubirosa, a beachy pop-up slinging tie-dye pies and house-made pastas. Not far away, Crazy Pizza is setting up shop with ultra-thin crusts and a playful, high-energy vibe. If you're in the mood for something more refined, Wayan & Ma•dé have returned for the season with their French-Indonesian fusion at the EHP Resort & Marina, now served up with waterfront views and frozen cocktails to match. And for the brunch crowd, Village Bistro is pouring margaritas alongside jumbo lump crab cakes.
Southampton adds to the mix with two standout newcomers. Namiro Sushi brings a sleek new energy to Jobs Lane, focusing on inspired nigiri, sashimi, sushi rolls and small plates. Just around the corner, Uno Mas is now Crispy Taco Co.—a rebrand focused on crunchy, golden tacos and Mexican specialties.

In Bridgehampton, Arthur & Sons is back with its throwback red-sauce charm. Think Sunday gravy, veal parm, and strong cocktails in a space that feels like a members-only clubhouse—without the pretense. And in Sag Harbor, Sag Harbor Tavern is shaking things up with a cozy dining room, unfussy burger classics, and a bar made for lingering.

Calissa in Water Mill is bringing the heat this summer with live music Sundays, weekend DJ sets, and guest appearances like Ja Rule expected on June 13th. Don’t miss Cristo & Rafael performing Gipsy Kings hits or Chase Creighton and Adam Lipson live on July 4th. Enjoy $12 spritzes and $1 oysters during Aperitivo Hour. New this year: guests can reserve a stylish, open-air Calissa-branded MOKE—an electric beach cruiser perfect for Hamptons exploring—complete with the option to add a picnic basket filled with Greek specialties. Mokes can be reserved via email: concierge@calissahamptons.com.
From fresh seafood to nostalgic Italian and global fusion, the Hamptons' dining scene is proving that summer 2025 is anything but a rerun. Grab a table—preferably outdoors—and make it a season to remember.
