Inside NYC’s New Indian Wedding-Inspired Restaurant

We had the chance to experience Madam Ji Ki Shaadi firsthand — the brand-new immersive Indian wedding-themed restaurant that just opened in Greenwich Village (154 Bleecker St). From the moment you arrive, you’re swept into the sights, sounds, and flavors of a traditional Indian wedding, complete with sparkling welcome drinks, bindis, and bites of Golgappe (crispy spheres with masala aloo).
Chef/Owner Abishek Sharma has crafted a vibrant, multi-sensory experience, from the Haldi-inspired golden décor to a full Shaadi Tasting (wedding menu) served on a golden platter. We tasted it all — the Chili Chicken Bao, the Chipotle Paneer, the slow-cooked Gosht Royale (goat), and ended with a spiced carrot pudding and sweet wedding “favors” to take home.
And yes, we captured it all on video.
