Isabelle's brings contemporary Italian to Gramercy

November 30, 2020, 7:29.05 pm ET

Isabelle's Osteria is a new 140-seat restaurant in Gramercy Park with a sprawling bar, exposed brick and and lush greenery. Visitors can also choose to dine in a fully heated outdoor veranda. The restaurant's name is a nod to chef/partner James Tracey's mother. Tracey, who worked at Gramercy Tavern, Lespinasse and helped Tom Colicchio open Craft, is offering Italian favorites with a modern twist.

At Isabelle's, diners will discover seasonal, greenmarket-driven by dishes like Lumache with Pork Ragu & Whipped Ricotta, Bone-In Pork Chop Milanese, Pumpkin Pappardelle, Free-Range Roast Chicken and the Winter Squash with Stracciatella. All pastas are made in-house daily.

More than 100 wines, many Italian, complement Tracey's menu, including a dozen rare, older vintages. Cocktails showcase seasonal favorites like the Negroni, Gibson's Martini and various Spritzes in addition to innovative beverages like the Grappa Chamomile Sour.
