Jinkx Monsoon and James T. Lane to Join Broadway’s Chicago

The hit Broadway musical “Chicago” will welcome award-winning actress, vocalist, podcaster and two-time “RuPaul’s Drag Race” winner Jinkx Monsoon in the role of “Matron ‘Mama’ Morton” and Broadway veteran James T. Lane (“A Chorus Line”) as “Billy Flynn” beginning Monday, January 16.

The Tony Award-winning show tells the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer in the 1920s, who murders her lover, She then dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer (Billy Flynn) to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines.

The production, which is directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, features a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse and music by John Kander and lyrics by Ebb.
