For the first time since opening in October 2024, Kinjo—the intimate 14-seat omakase counter and lounge in DUMBO—is serving lunch. On June 21–22 and June 28–29, guests can enjoy a special pop-up lunch series from 11am to 2pm, inspired by Ichiju Sansai, the traditional Japanese concept of a well-balanced home-cooked meal. Designed by Chef Johnny Huang, the menu offers five comforting, flavorful dishes served over rice with sides of miso soup, kimchi, and housemade pickles.

Guests can choose from protein-packed options like Bluefin Tuna Donburi with takuan and katsuo furikake, King Salmon Donburi topped with ikura and chives, or hearty Beef Kare Raisu with short rib curry. Vegetarian diners will appreciate the Morel Yaki Soba with edamame and cabbage, or the Vegetable Kare Raisu made with pattypan squash, carrots, potatoes and peas. Each dish brings thoughtful, seasonal ingredients into a laid-back, nourishing format that honors Japanese culinary roots.

To complement the meal, Kinjo is offering creative lunch cocktails such as a Yuzu Mimosa and a Miso Espresso Martini. In honor of Pride Month, Kinjo will donate a portion of proceeds from every cocktail sold to the Ali Forney Center, supporting LGBTQ youth across New York City.

Located at 11 Adams Street, Kinjo invites walk-ins or reservations via Resy for this limited-run lunch series. With a casual format, welcoming atmosphere, and kids welcome too, it’s a rare opportunity to experience one of Brooklyn’s most refined kitchens in a relaxed midday setting.
