Koko's Brings the Flavors of Peru and Japan to Williamsburg

Koko's is fusion restaurant melding Peruvian Nikkei cuisine with the flavors of Japan in a colorful space in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The Izakaya features dishes such as Pulpo Anticuchero with octopus, a medley of potatoes with Japanese chimichurri; Hamachi Kama with Hamachi collar, daikon choclo rice, furikake, ponzu and lime zest; and Tornado Potato with huancana sauce, olive, fried queso fresco and quail egg. Other options include Nikkei-style ceviche, crispy chicken baos and Yuzu Pie with lucuma whipped cream for dessert.
Cocktails are also pay homage to this unique flavor combination with drinks like Machu Pisco (House Smoked Pineapple Pisco, Cinnamon, Lime, and Bitters) and Nikkei (Pisco, Shishito Pepper, Lime, Lemon, and Egg White). Koko’s is a family run business which says it is driven by “omotenashi,” or selfless hospitality.
